Weddings

Your wedding day is special and unique, and it is the great pleasure of the Athene String Quartet to help you have a wonderful day. We know how important it is to have just the right music to complement the occasion, so we'll consult with you in advance of the day to ensure we're providing the perfect soundtrack. We’re also happy to make suggestions, or even to hunt down that special piece of music.

Although every wedding is different, we typically start playing 30 minutes before the ceremony begins, as the guests arrive. We play for the entrance of the bride, during the signing of the register, and as the newlyweds exit. We would usually then move to the drinks reception, playing to entertain the guests as the photographs are taken, and we are happy to play throughout the wedding breakfast.
